Oktoberfest at Mainstrasse Village in Covington, KY is celebrating it’s 40th year of free, family fun in 2018. The festival takes place from September 7-9 along six city blocks including the areas of Goebel Park for family and kids activities as well as Steinford Park–aka 6th Street Promenade–for the arts and crafts and food vendors.
You don’t want to miss this jam-packed fall festival that showcases over 100 arts, crafts & food vendors, a bier garten, chalk art, local and regional entertainment on two stages, including music, magic and multiple street performers. And if you’ve always wondered what’s inside the Carroll Chimes Clock Tower, there are tours this year inside the tower.
You can be sure that your kids will be fully entertained at the festival with an expanded family friendly area–the original Goebel Park location as well as the overpass on West Sixth Street. Circus Mojo is returning with shows throughout the day and there are several kids rides, pony rides and balloon makers.
If you’re going, here are the details:
Friday, 5-11 pm; Saturday noon-11 pm; Sunday noon-8 pm. Admission is FREE. Plan for crowds as it’s the first of many Fall festivals in the area. And don’t bring your pets–they’re not permitted at the festival.
